White Cloud brings joy to Circus Street, Brighton

White Cloud Coffee will be the first business to open its doors in the exciting new Circus Street district of Brighton next month and is currently fitting out their 1,130 square foot café overlooking the new Market Square and the Dance Space outdoor performance area.

With the strapline ‘Fuelling your passion’, because great projects and adventures often start over a coffee and conversation, the White Cloud Coffee business has been built around supplying amazing coffee to people, cafés and offices.

At Circus Street, they are opening their flagship café, with indoor and outdoor seating for up to forty people, serving coffee and delicious food for breakfast, brunch and lunch.

The new café at Circus Street complements White Cloud’s new seafront site on Madeira Drive, at the bottom of Dukes Mound, as part of Brighton Council’s regeneration of the eastern seafront.  The seafront cafe is hugely popular with sea swimmers, cyclists, walkers and sauna goers.

White Cloud Coffee directors Craig Pitt and Phil Grundy are both former elite cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts.

Said Craig Pitt, “We believe in putting passion into everything that we do; that’s why we focus on creating the right atmospheres at our cafes that reflect the local community.  Our seafront site focuses on the outdoors, and at Circus Street we are partnering with South East Dance, another foundation tenant, to create an inclusive community hub.

“We work with leading chefs and sommeliers to create tantalising roast profiles for our coffees, because we think that even if you have just one cup of coffee in the morning, you should make it count, and it makes you feel great.”

Said Rob Sloper, “White Cloud Coffee will be an important cornerstone of the new Circus Street community and we have more ground floor space ready for other exciting and innovative businesses to move in and help create a joyful atmosphere here.

“We are in discussions with a range of creative businesses to move into The Office at Circus Street, designed by award winning architects shedkm, who conceived state of the art, flexible space with energy efficiency and the very best digital connectivity at its core.”

It was recently announced that global tech firm Hyve has signed a lease for the top two floors of The Office at Circus Street, which has six main office floors include 30,000 sq ft of Grade A space and plenty of cycle storage and underground parking. On the ground floor, 2,475 sq ft of retail space is suitable for outlets and shops or one operator managing a range, overlooking carefully designed and landscaped public spaces, destined to become a lively new part of the city centred around a new Dance Space.

The building is environmentally sustainable and has been built to enhance the wellbeing of those inside, evidenced by an industry leading BREEAM Excellent certification.

Developers U+I are seeking businesses who wish to start out, spread their wings, establish their Brighton satellite office or upscale and join the Circus Street community and invited to get in touch to arrange a viewing at: Circusstreetbrighton.com

Circus Street and White Cloud Coffee are partners at Footprint+, the UKs first zero carbon property exhibition being hosted in Brighton next week.

“As businesses focused on a sustainable future, we are proud to be showcasing our local brands in front of the UKs leading property companies,” commented Phil Grundy.
