Brighton-born ‘Waffle Maestro’ Ariane Aubry is celebrating International Waffle Day all March, with a culinary takeover of the White Cloud café at Circus Street, serving sublime homemade sweet and savoury gluten-free waffles.
The Waffle Market pop-up restaurant invites people to indulge in an unforgettable culinary waffle experience. Its all-day dining menu features delicious brunch classics, signature sweet favourites, and weekly specials, including 25% off on ‘Waffle Wednesdays’.
Ariane Aubry, founder of The Waffle Market, said, ‘With a dining and events background, including working with Marco Pierre-White and my own French chef father, I have experimented and found the perfect batter recipe combined with scrumptious savoury and sweet toppings, including local produce.
‘Forget your preconceived notion of waffles – at The Waffle Market, we offer a whole new dining experience! All our waffles, sauces, and seasonings are homemade and delicious, and we carefully craft our dishes, so each one is a work of art.’
Ariane started The Waffle Market in a beautifully converted horse box, popping up and serving her unique and delicious dishes at top events, including Goodwood, Royal Ascot, McLaren and Sony Music, where she has built a fan base.
At Circus Street this March, The Waffle Market is holding several exclusive events, such as ‘Waffle & Wine’ evenings and ‘Waffle Workshops’ engaging with those who want to celebrate, learn and do something different. Weekend brunches and Waffle Wednesdays are not to be missed.
Continued Ariane, ‘There’s something to excite every craving, and we’re proud to cater for most dietaries including vegan, vegetarian and celiac and all our batter is made from 100% gluten free batter – which also happens to make the very best waffles!’
The Waffle Market, named because Circus Street was once the old market, is part of a new and joyful place for Brighton, with shops, restaurants, the Dance Space and outdoor events.
